The successful applicant will deliver 1:1 support, implement effective behaviour management strategies, and adapt support to meet individual pupil needs while fostering independence. DBS on update service is required or applicants must be willing to apply.
Academics are currently recruiting for an experienced behaviour support worker for a 2 form entry West Leeds primary school. This position is to commence in September for 2 terms at least with further opportunity to extend contracts for the right individual.
This school has a strong emphasis on behaviour management, and the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate their ability of implementing effective behaviour management strategies. You will be required to work throughout school offering 1 to 1 support to pupils who may need additional support within the classroom.
Due to the highly specialist nature of this behaviour support worker role, candidates must have previous behaviour support experience. You will be incredibly flexible, adjusting your level of support to meet the requirements of each individual student, whilst allowing each child the opportunity to enhance their independence and grow their individuality. It is essential that you are a nurturing and attentive individual with an incredible amount of emotional intelligence, to ensure effective support strategies are implemented at a suitable time.
You must have a DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one to be considered for this role.
Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
