Job summary

The Sigma Trust is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to join our community and implement effective behaviour strategies across Alton Park Junior School. You will support pupils during challenging moments, promote inclusive practices, and collaborate with staff to maintain a safe, positive learning environment.

Training is provided, including a six-module course and online training from TES and NASEN.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
• Ability to implement a range of behaviour strategies and support inclusion of SEMH needs.
• Excellent communication with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Strong knowledge of child protection and safeguarding policies.

Responsibilities

• Implement whole-school behaviour policies and manage challenging behaviour.
• Provide targeted interventions for pupils with behavioural difficulties.
• Liaise with senior leaders, teachers and parents on pupil behaviour.
• Promote restorative approaches to conflict resolution.
• Supervise pupils isolated from lessons and ensure they complete work.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on behaviour incidents.
