Job summary

RIBBONS AND REEVES are recruiting a committed Behaviour Support Officer for an outstanding 11–18 secondary school in Redbridge. The role is permanent from September 2026 with salary on the Outer London Unqualified Teacher Pay Scale.

You will support students’ behaviour, achievement and self-esteem by delivering targeted pastoral interventions. Ideal candidates will have a 2:1 or first-class degree from a UK university and prior experience in a secondary setting.

Qualifications

• 2:1 or First-Class degree from a UK university.
• Previous experience working in a secondary school or with young people is essential.
• Excellent communication, organisation and behaviour management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted pastoral and behaviour interventions to improve student outcomes.
• Work alongside teachers, pastoral leaders and families to support learning and behaviour.
• Provide emergency classroom cover for teaching staff when required to ensure learning continuity.
