Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group Ltd is seeking a proactive Behaviour Support Assistant to join a secondary school in London.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils aged 11-16, implementing behaviour strategies, using de-escalation techniques and promoting emotional regulation within a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Immediate start available; this is a full-time role supporting students with behavioural and SEMH needs across the school day.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with behavioural or SEMH needs.
• Experience in secondary school, PRU or alternative provision desirable.
• Confident with behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.

The Role - Behaviour Support Assistant
Seeking a resilient and proactive Behaviour Support Assistant to support pupils aged 11-16 within a secondary school setting. You will work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and the SEND department to provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support. The role involves implementing behaviour support strategies, using de-escalation techniques, promoting emotional regulation and helping pupils remain engaged with their learning. You will act as a positive role model and contribute to creating a safe, structured and supportive learning environment.
