Qualifications

• 2:1 or First-Class degree from a UK university.
• Previous experience working in a secondary school or with young people is essential.
• Excellent communication, organisation and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
• Resilient, proactive and passionate about improving student outcomes.
• Aspirations to build a long-term career within education.

Responsibilities

• As a Behaviour Support Officer, you will play a key role in improving students' behaviour, achievement and self-esteem by delivering targeted pastoral and behaviour interventions.
• Working alongside teachers, pastoral leaders and families, you will help students overcome barriers to learning, promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• You will draw upon your understanding of child development and the impact of home and school factors on students' motivation, attitudes and performance.
• You may also provide emergency classroom cover for teaching staff when required, ensuring learning continues with minimal disruption.
