Job summary

Ribbons & Reeves is helping Redbridge 11–18 secondary school in Redbridge recruit a permanent Behaviour Support Officer from September 2026. This role offers the Outer London Unqualified Teacher Pay Scale and a clear pathway into education careers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • As a Behaviour Support Officer, you will play a key role in improving students' behaviour, achievement and self-esteem by delivering targeted pastoral and behaviour interventions.
  • Working alongside teachers, pastoral leaders and families, you will help students overcome barriers to learning, promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.
  • You will draw upon your understanding of child development and the impact of home and school factors on students' motivation, attitudes and performance.
  • You may also provide emergency classroom cover for teaching staff when required, ensuring learning continues with minimal disruption.
