Job summary

TimePlan Education Group Limited is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Mentor to work in Stockport, delivering 1:1, small-group and classroom support for secondary students with autism, ADHD and SEMH. The role focuses on building positive relationships, emotional regulation and engagement, while following EHCP outcomes and safeguarding procedures.

You will work with teachers and pastoral teams, using de-escalation and trauma-informed approaches to create a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting young people with SEN, autism or behavioural needs.
  • Patience, resilience and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to build rapport and motivate disengaged students.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1, small-group and classroom support to secondary-aged students.
  • Support pupils with ASC/Autism, ADHD and SEMH.
  • Build positive relationships and encourage engagement.
  • Promote emotional regulation and positive choices.
  • Use de-escalation and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Follow EHCP outcomes and risk assessments.
  • Adapt support to communication and learning needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and wider professionals.
  • Maintain accurate safeguarding records.
