Job summary

Engage Education Ltd in Leeds is seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to support pupils in a primary school in the WF3 area. The role involves assisting learners with a range of needs, including SEMH, autism and other learning difficulties, in a supportive classroom setting.

The successful candidate will work either on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, collaborating with fellow staff to keep disruptions to a minimum and to help pupils reach their potential while reporting progress to teachers

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or adults with challenging behaviour.
• Ability to form excellent relationships and rapport with pupils.
• Outgoing and mentoring manner.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one or small group support to pupils.
• Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class and minimise disruption.
• Providing feedback to teachers and parents.
• Assisting pupils with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Severe Learning Difficulties and other Learning Disabilities.
