Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting Behaviour Support Assistants to work within a specialist SEN and SEMH setting supporting children and young people with additional needs, Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, trauma-related needs and challenging behaviour.

This role offers flexible day-to-day opportunities, with potential long-term and temp-to-perm progression. You could gain valuable experience for future teaching or psychology roles, while receiving ongoing training from Teaching Personnel.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or vulnerable individuals is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in classroom settings.
• Help students regulate emotions and stay engaged with learning.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create a positive learning environment.

Teaching Personnel is recruiting Behaviour Support Assistants to work within a specialist SEN and SEMH setting supporting children and young people with additional needs, Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, trauma-related needs and challenging behaviour.

This role is ideal for individuals from a range of backgrounds including:

• Teaching Assistants


• Behaviour Mentors


• Youth Workers


• Sports Coaches


• Support Workers


• Residential Care Workers


• Psychology or Criminology Graduates


• Military or Security backgrounds

No two days are the same. You could be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis, assisting within the classroom, helping students regulate emotions, or supporting engagement with learning.
