Job summary

Protocol Education is working with two welcoming primary schools in the BS31 area to recruit a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant from October through to the end of the academic year. The role focuses on supporting pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour and engagement, in a calm and nurturing manner.

You will work closely with teachers and SEND professionals, providing one-to-one support and small group interventions, while helping pupils feel safe, valued and ready to learn.

• Calm, patient and nurturing; able to support children with consistency and understanding.
• Experienced or confident working with children who may display challenging behaviour or require additional emotional support.
• Friendly, approachable and able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Comfortable delivering one-to-one support and small group interventions.

Protocol Education is working with two welcoming primary schools in the BS31 area who are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join their teams from October through to the end of the academic year. You'll play a key part in supporting pupils who may need additional guidance with emotional regulation, behaviour and engagement, helping them feel secure, valued and ready to succeed in school. Working closely with teachers, SEND professionals and wider support staff, you'll help pupils develop positive relationships, build confidence and access learning successfully. Your day may involve providing one-to-one support, leading small group interventions, implementing behaviour strategies and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. What We Need To Clear You:

• Passport / proof of right to work in the UK
• Two proofs of address, such as a driving licence, utility bill, council tax bill or P45/P60
• CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained
• Two years of references, including childcare references where applicable
• Overseas Police Check if you've lived abroad for three months or more in the last five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
