Behaviour Support Assistant - Bury (BL9)

Monarch Education is working with a Bury-based primary school seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 2 child. This full-time role is from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, supporting the child in class and throughout the day. The successful candidate must register with Monarch Education for an immediate start, although the school is willing to wait for the right candidate.

Key Details
  1. Bury-based primary school, accessible by bus, tram, or on-site parking
  2. 1:1 position with potential to impact children's development
  3. Full-time, Monday to Friday
  4. Competitive daily pay (£90 - £110)
  5. Long-term vacancy with a start date in September 2025
  6. Registration with Monarch Education required prior to starting
Role Description

The child may exhibit disruptive behaviour due to frustration or difficulty engaging with the curriculum. The successful TA should be skilled in de-escalating and redirecting attention, providing a calming presence, and building a trusting relationship to support the child's progress. Experience working 1:1 with pupils, safeguarding, and behavioural management knowledge in a KS1/primary setting are essential.
