Job summary

Shorefields in Benfleet is seeking a part-time Teaching/Child Support role to support the Behaviour/Curriculum Plus Centre. The position starts immediately, offers term-time hours from 8.00am to 4.00pm (Mon-Thu) and 8.00am to 3.30pm on Fridays, with a salary in the £21k range.

You will work with the behaviour team to promote dignity, collaboration, positivity and aspiration, dealing with a range of student needs. Safeguarding checks apply; full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in an educational setting would be useful but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
• Safer recruitment requirements apply to all appointments and safeguarding checks are required.
• Ability to relate to students, young people and adults and work with behavioural needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the behaviour team to maintain high standards of behaviour, learning and achievement.
• Support students across all year groups within the Curriculum Plus Centre.
• Deal with challenging situations, work individually and as part of a team; provide admin and IT support.
