A good Junior School based in Wandsworth, SW London is on the hunt for a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant to support pupils with various SEN such as Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH on a 1:1 basis.

If you have any experience with children aged 7-11 with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH) we would love to hear from you! This does not have to be direct school experience; any transferrable skills will be considered.

JOB DESCRIPTION – Behaviour Teaching Assistant:

  • SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Support students with SEN on a 1-to-1 basis (ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and more)
  • Liaising with Class Teachers and the SENDCO regarding the progress of children
  • Provide a stimulating and safe learning environment for children
  • Delivering specialist interventions
  • Liaising with the school’s SENCO and external agencies
  • September 2024 Start – Full Time

PERSON SPECIFICATION – Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant:

  • SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Experience in supporting children (7-11) with SEN – Autism, ADHD, SEMH – Ideal
  • Childcare-related experience, ideally with an SEN focus - Essential
  • You MUST be resilient, patient, calm-natured, empathetic & adaptable
  • A hardworking and drivenindividual who will exceed all expectations of the role requirements
