Teaching Assistant | Full Time | North London

We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who inspires to work with in an SEN environment. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students in a classroom at one of leading schools in London. This unique Teaching Assistant will require you to support a year 8 boy who sometimes moderate to severe behaviour issues e.g 'Difficulty Concentrating'. This TA role does require someone who is enthusiastic about being a part of an integral team.

Role: Teaching Assistant - Primary

Start: ASAP

Location: Haringey, North London

Contract: Full time

Ideal Candidate:

• Supervising and supporting pupils
• Assisting in the development of appropriate resources, schemes of work and teaching strategies
• Supporting with behaviour management
• Undertaking structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities to ensure achievement of learning goals
• Assisting with the supervision of children out of lesson times, such as playtime and lunchtime duty
• Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all children, supporting difference and ensuring that all have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.

Requirements:

• Experience of working directly with young people in an education or training environment, supporting the learning of students.
• Some basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
• Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
• Bachelor's degree (Education Studies, Psychology or Sports Degrees are welcome)
• Potential to land a permanent position.
