Do you have a Psychology degree and a passion for supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? Join a warm and welcoming North London primary school, where your academic knowledge and natural empathy will truly change lives.
The Role:
We’re looking for a dedicated ASD Specialist Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 and in small groups, helping neurodiverse pupils overcome learning barriers, regulate emotions, and build essential social communication skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to put your psychology background into action and make a measurable difference every day.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide targeted support for children with Autism and associated needs
  • Implement strategies from EHCPs and IEPs with guidance from the SENCO
  • Assist with emotional regulation and positive behaviour reinforcement
  • Facilitate communication and social interaction in structured settings
  • Track progress, celebrate achievements, and nurture self-esteem
Ideal Candidate:
  • Psychology graduate (2:1 or above preferred)
  • Experience supporting children or young people with ASD (school, clinic, or voluntary)
  • Empathetic, emotionally intelligent, and resilient under pressure
  • Strong interest in SEN education, mental health, or therapeutic work
  • Committed to safeguarding and child welfare
