Job summary

Wilds Lodge School in Rutland seeks a Positive Relationship Mentor to promote high behaviour standards and provide emotional and pastoral support to learners aged 5–19 with SEMH/ ASD needs. The role is a temporary maternity cover, term-time only, with salary in the £23.5k–£29k range and a full-time equivalent arrangement.

You will deliver 1:1 and small group behaviour support, help staff develop behaviour management skills, and implement strategies to improve learners’ welfare and engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience working with learners who have behavioural difficulties.
• Knowledge of SEMH/ASD strategies.
• Ability to deliver 1:1 and small group behaviour support.
• Must hold a valid driving licence and business insurance.

Responsibilities

• Involvement in developing and enhancing the behaviour management skills of staff across the school.
• Implementing agreed strategies to manage and improve learner behaviour.
• Delivering 1:1 and small group behaviour support where needed.
