Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support pupils at a Bolton secondary school. You will deliver 1:1 and small-group mentoring, help students regulate emotions and engage with learning.

Working alongside teachers and pastoral staff, you will promote positive behaviour, build trusting relationships, and support attendance and resilience. Hours 8:30am-3:45pm, pay £105-£110 per day, start ASAP.

Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers, develop positive behaviours and reach their full potential?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive secondary school in Bolton.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience working with young people who may struggle with behaviour, emotional regulation, engagement or social challenges.

The Role

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support to manage their behaviour and engage positively with school life.

• Providing 1:1 and small-group mentoring and support


• Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils


• Supporting students to regulate their emotions and manage challenging situations


• Helping pupils understand and make positive changes to their behaviour


• Encouraging engagement with learning and improving attendance


• Supporting pupils who may be at risk of disengaging from education


• Working alongside teachers, pastoral staff and the wider school team


• Helping pupils develop confidence, resilience and independence


• De-escalating challenging situations in a calm and professional manner


• Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining clear boundaries

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour, emotional regulation, SEMH needs or disengagement from education.
