Are you experienced in supporting children with challenging behaviour and looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference?
Vision for Education is working with a specialist primary school in Henbury, supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The setting supports pupils who may have experienced trauma, adversity or significant challenges in their lives, which can affect their emotions, relationships and engagement with learning.
The school is looking for an experienced Behaviour Mentor who can help pupils feel safe, build trusting relationships and develop positive ways to manage their emotions and behaviour. This can be a challenging environment, so resilience, consistency and the ability to stay calm under pressure are essential. It's important not to take behaviour personally and to recognise that there is often more going on beneath the surface.
The right experience and attitude are what matter most. Additional training and support can be provided, so you don't need to hold every qualification listed above.
If you have the resilience and experience to support children through challenging moments and help them move forward, we'd love to hear from you.
