Job summary

Ribbons & Reeves is seeking a committed Behaviour Mentor for a Surrey SEMH setting. You will support pupils with emotional wellbeing, implement de-escalation strategies and help foster a calm, structured classroom where learners can rebuild confidence and progress.

Behaviour Mentor – Specialist SEMH School – Surrey – Immediate Start

Can you stay calm when everyone else loses theirs? A specialist SEMH school in Surrey is seeking a confident and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join its dedicated team. Supporting pupils who have struggled in mainstream education, you'll help create a safe, structured environment where young people can rebuild confidence and succeed.

Working closely with pupils throughout the school day, you'll support behaviour regulation, emotional wellbeing and classroom engagement. You'll help implement behaviour strategies, manage difficult situations calmly and build positive relationships that allow students to thrive.

Behaviour Mentor – What the School is Looking For

The school welcomes applications from Behaviour Mentors, Teaching Assistants, youth workers, sports coaches, residential care workers and military or emergency service backgrounds. More important than previous job titles is resilience, consistency and the ability to build trust.
