Job summary

Reeson Education is seeking a Behaviour Mentor for an outstanding West London school. You will work within the pastoral team, supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning, improve behaviour and raise achievement.

Engage directly with individuals or groups and collaborate with parents and external agencies to coordinate support. The role requires flexibility, enthusiasm and hard work; ASAP/October start.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school environment is ideal.
• Ability to liaise with parents and external agencies.
• Experience supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning.

Responsibilities

• Mentor students with behaviour needs through positive role modelling.
• Provide targeted interventions and support to students within key stages 3 and 4.
• Coach students one-to-one and in small groups to build academic skills, wellbeing, self-management and emotional literacy.

• Acting as a mentor for students with behaviour needs through effective role modelling, forming positive relationships and utilising creative approaches which provide them with the skills to be successful and happy
• Providing targeted interventions and support to students within the key stage and contribute to the raising standards agenda
• Encouraging and enabling students to become independent and resilient learners by providing one to one and small group coaching in academic related skills, wellbeing and self:management and emotional literacy

Requirements

Applications are welcome from Behaviour mentors at any stage in their career. All applicants will ideally have experience of working in a school environment as an Behaviour mentor.
