Behaviour Mentor - Primary School - Denton

Location: Denton, Greater Manchester
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: 91- 100 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term

Empowering Learning is currently recruiting for an experienced Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive and inclusive primary school based in Denton. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, ideal for someone passionate about helping children overcome behavioural and emotional barriers to learning.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils displaying challenging behaviour.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in line with the school's policies.
  • Build positive relationships to support emotional regulation and social development.
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams.
  • Track progress and contribute to personalised intervention plans.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar pastoral/SEN support role.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs and behaviour management techniques.
  • A calm, empathetic, and patient approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport quickly with pupils and staff.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour management, Team Teach, or similar (desirable but not essential).
