Are you experienced in working with young people and confident managing behaviour in a busy secondary school environment? A Secondary School in Preston is seeking a Behaviour Manager who can provide consistent support to students and staff while helping maintain high standards across the school.

The Behaviour Manager will play a key role in supporting the school's behaviour expectations and ensuring that students receive appropriate intervention when concerns arise.

You will work with students who may require additional guidance around behaviour, helping them understand expectations and take responsibility for their actions. The role will involve a mixture of proactive support and responding to incidents when they occur.

You will monitor behaviour information and identify recurring issues or patterns. Where appropriate, you will work with pastoral colleagues to develop strategies and interventions designed to improve individual students' behaviour and engagement.

The role will also involve supporting teachers. You may assist with difficult incidents, provide information about students and contribute to meetings where behaviour is discussed.

Communication with parents and carers will be an important part of the position. You will need to explain concerns clearly, discuss agreed actions and maintain constructive relationships even when conversations are challenging.
