Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking an experienced Behaviour Manager for a secondary school in Warrington. The role involves leading behaviour interventions, monitoring student conduct, and collaborating with pastoral staff to improve engagement and outcomes.

You will work with Heads of Year, teachers and families to identify patterns, apply consistent behaviour policies and support students with reintegration and targets. This is a full-time, permanent position based on-site in Warrington, England.

Qualifications

• Experience working with secondary-aged students.
• Confidence dealing with challenging behaviour.
• Ability to build professional relationships with students.
• Calm and consistent approach.
• Good understanding of behaviour intervention.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Accurate record-keeping ability.
• Confidence communicating with parents and carers.
• Ability to work closely with teachers and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor behaviour across the school day.
• Respond to significant behaviour incidents.
• Support teachers when behaviour escalates.
• Manage agreed behaviour interventions.
• Monitor students with behaviour support plans.
• Maintain accurate incident records.
• Review behaviour data to identify patterns.
• Support Heads of Year with individual students.
• Hold restorative conversations and set targets.
• Support students following sanctions or exclusions.
• Assist with student reintegration.
