Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Manager for a Catholic secondary school in Manchester. The role is full-time and permanent, starting October 2026, within a supportive pastoral team dedicated to promoting positive behaviour and student wellbeing.

You will lead behaviour interventions, collaborate with safeguarding and SEND teams, and maintain accurate records while engaging with parents and external agencies to ensure students reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Behaviour Manager or related pastoral role in a secondary school.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and families.
• Experience with safeguarding and SEND teams.
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Willingness to engage in CPD and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead behaviour interventions for students needing additional support.
• Work with Heads of Year, safeguarding and SEND teams.
• Support restorative practice and reintegration meetings.
• Monitor behaviour, attendance and punctuality.
• Liaise with parents, carers and external agencies.
• Maintain accurate behaviour records and reports.
