Job summary

TeacherActive is helping a Caerphilly-based PRU recruit an able LSA to support secondary-aged pupils with ALN, ASD and EBD. The role is full-time and temporary from ASAP until Christmas, focusing on encouraging engagement, behaviour management and building positive relationships within the provision.

You'll work with a dedicated team, access CPD, and enjoy market-leading pay rates. Prior experience with ALN and challenging behaviours is essential, and a resilient, patient, adaptable mindset is

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with ALN.
• Experience supporting pupils with ASD, EBD and/or challenging behaviour.
• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils is desirable.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• A resilient and patient approach.
• Adaptability and a ‘can-do’ attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support secondary-aged pupils with ASD and EBD to engage with learning.
• Assist with behaviour management and classroom routines.
• Develop positive relationships within the PRU provision.
