Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an LSA for a secondary school in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. The role is full-time and temporary from an immediate start until Christmas, based in the school’s dedicated Resource Base supporting pupils with ALN, ASD and ADHD.

You will join an established team, helping pupils with their learning, engagement and individual needs throughout the day. Successful applicants should have experience with ALN, ASD/ADHD, and be confident working with secondary-aged pupils,

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with ASD and/or ADHD
• Confidence working with secondary-aged pupils

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with ASD/ ADHD with their learning, engagement and individual needs throughout the school day
• Work alongside the established Resource Base team to support pupils’ learning and inclusion
• Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor progress and adapt support as needed

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school in the Vale of Glamorgan with a dedicated Resource Base supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs / ALN. The Resource Base provides additional support for pupils with ASD and ADHD, with an established team of educators working together to support their individual needs.

The school is looking to take on an LSA on a full-time, temporary basis from an immediate start until Christmas. The successful LSA will work alongside the established team within the Resource Base, supporting pupils with ASD and ADHD with their learning, engagement and individual needs throughout the school day.

The successful LSA will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with Additional Learning Needs / ALN
• Experience supporting pupils with ASD and/or ADHD
• Confidence working with secondary-aged pupils
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A patient and supportive approach
• Adaptability and a can-do attitude
