Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Behaviour Intervention Worker in the Bolton area to support pupils with additional behavioural and emotional needs. This role is focused on nurturing positive behaviours and re-engaging students with their education.

The ideal candidate will have experience with children facing challenges like SEMH needs and behavioural difficulties. Responsibilities include providing tailored support and implementing strategies. This is a full-time, temporary position with potential for permanence.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour.
• Ability to build trust and maintain boundaries.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with behavioural needs.
• Implement behaviour intervention strategies.
• Build relationships to support engagement.
• Support teaching staff in managing classroom behaviour.
• Encourage pupils’ social and emotional development.
• Monitor and report on pupil progress.
• Assist with de-escalation strategies.
