Job summary

Engage Partners Limited is recruiting a Behaviour Intervention Mentor in Bromley for a term-time, full-time position starting September 2026. You will mentor students one-to-one, supporting their academic and emotional needs within a specialist education setting.

The role focuses on developing emotional resilience, positive decision-making and better engagement in school, with DBS clearance required and safeguarding responsibilities emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience with young people in education, youth work, mentoring or alternative provision.
• Strong relationships with students and trust-building abilities.
• Calm, patient and solution-focused in challenging situations.
• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one mentoring for students with behavioural and emotional needs.
• Support pupils during lessons to improve focus and engagement.
• Work with students needing additional intervention to stay engaged in education.
• Help students develop emotional resilience, self-regulation and decision-making.
• Support restorative conversations after behavioural incidents.
• Collaborate with teachers, pastoral leaders and safeguarding staff on individual support plans.
• Monitor student progress, behaviour and attendance and maintain records.
