Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd in Rochdale is seeking a compassionate Behaviour Buddy to support pupils in a specialist SEN setting. You will provide one-to-one and small-group support, helping children manage emotions and stay engaged in learning.

Working closely with teachers and SEN staff, you will implement individual strategies, build trusting relationships, and contribute to a calm, safe, and inclusive classroom throughout the school day. This full-time role offers meaningful daily impact.

Qualifications

Behaviour Buddy - SEN School

Location: Rochdale

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm

Pay Rate: £16.78 per hour

Contract: Full-time

We are looking for a caring, patient and dedicated Behaviour Buddy to join a specialist SEN school in Rochdale, supporting children and young people with additional needs.

The Role

As a Behaviour Buddy, you will work closely with pupils and school staff to provide individualised support and encouragement throughout the school day.

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.
• Supporting children with behavioural, emotional and social needs.
• Helping pupils manage their emotions and develop positive coping strategies.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Supporting pupils during lessons, break times and transitions.
• Working alongside teachers and SEN staff to implement individual support strategies.
• Helping create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment.
