Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd. is seeking a caring Behaviour Buddy for a SEN School in Rochdale. You will provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with additional needs, helping manage behaviors and emotions throughout the school day.

Role requires patience, calm communication and teamwork to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families, ensuring a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Previous SEN/education or care experience desirable.
• Ability to work one-to-one and in small groups.
• Willingness to support pupils during lessons and transitions.

Behaviour Buddy - SEN School

Location: Rochdale
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Pay Rate: 16.78 per hour
Contract: Full-time

We are looking for a caring, patient and dedicated Behaviour Buddy to join a specialist SEN school in Rochdale, supporting children and young people with additional needs.

The Role

As a Behaviour Buddy, you will work closely with pupils and school staff to provide individualised support and encouragement throughout the school day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.
• Supporting children with behavioural, emotional and social needs.
• Helping pupils manage their emotions and develop positive coping strategies.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Supporting pupils during lessons, break times and transitions.
• Working alongside teachers and SEN staff to implement individual support strategies.
• Helping create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment.
