Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd in Wigan, Greater Manchester, is seeking a Behaviour Support / 1:1 / SEMH Teaching Assistant to help pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will work under guidance to implement tailored strategies and support positive behaviour.

The role is full-time, 8:20 AM to 3:05 PM, with pay of 16.79 per hour. You will collaborate with teachers and staff to foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment and promote independence for students.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEMH students is preferred but not essential.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.

BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT / 1:1 / SEMH TA

Empowering Learning are working closely with a vibrant behavioural school, supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties in Wigan. The ideal candidate should be resilient and confident supporting children with Autism ASD, Dyslexia, ADHD, Challenging Behaviours.

Your Role

• Providing one-on-one and group assistance to students with social and emotional difficulty.
• Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to create tailored learning plans.
• Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assisting with daily activities, personal care, and promoting independence.

Requirements

• Experience working with SEMH children is preferred but not essential.
• Passion for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service / or commitment to apply
