Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Behaviour Mentor to join a secondary school in Hackney on a long-term basis, with a temp-to-perm path, starting in September.

You will support pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs 1:1 and in small groups, de-escalate situations, and collaborate with staff to implement individual behaviour plans, helping pupils stay engaged at school.

Qualifications

  • Recent experience supporting pupils with SEMH or behavioural needs, ideally in a school setting.
  • Calm, resilient and confident when managing challenging situations.
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Comfortable following behaviour management plans and working closely with the wider pastoral team.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Requirements or Skills

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
