Job summary

Great Wishford C of E Primary School is seeking a dedicated Wraparound Care Assistant to support the Wraparound Care Leader in running the before-school breakfast club. The role is fixed term until 23 July 2027, part-time (5 hours/week, 38 weeks/year), with a ASAP start.

The successful candidate will create a safe, engaging environment for five to eleven-year-olds, planning activities and ensuring high-quality care in line with the school's Christian ethos and community values.

Qualifications

• Passion for delivering high quality and exciting opportunities for children.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with pupils, staff and parents.
• Self-motivated, energetic and proactive in delivering safe, high-quality education and care.
• Experience of working with children in a play/educational setting.
• Food handling experience and/or a Food handling certificate (or willingness to complete one).
• Strong team player with a positive and flexible attitude.
• Demonstrates a warm and caring approach with children.
• First Aid trained (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Wraparound Care Leader in planning and organising activities for primary-aged children.
• Help ensure a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all attendees.
• Support day-to-day operations of the breakfast club and communicate with pupils, staff and parents as needed.
