Job summary

St Andrew's Church of England Primary School invites applications for a Wraparound Club Assistant to support the school breakfast club. The role involves supervising children, preparing breakfasts, and delivering Play-based activities to create a calm, welcoming start to the day.

The successful candidate will help with routines, record keeping and maintain a safe environment while building positive relationships with pupils, parents and carers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working with children would be an advantage.
• Understanding safeguarding and confidentiality is important.
• Willingness to follow school policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support the safe provision and appropriate supervision of breakfast club care.
• Interact positively with children and encourage them to engage in constructive activities.
• Plan, prepare and deliver suitable play-based activities.
• Contribute to a warm, caring and inclusive environment for all pupils.
• Support daily administration and record keeping.
• Supervise groups of children during activities, maintaining correct ratios.
• Establish positive relationships with parents and carers.
• Administer minor first aid where trained and assist with children who are unwell.
• Follow health and safety procedures and inform parents as needed.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people at all times.
