Job summary

Chipstead Valley Primary School is recruiting a Breakfast Club Assistant to deliver wraparound care before school. You will supervise children aged 2–11, provide a healthy breakfast, and model positive behaviour in a split-location setting across Nursery/KS1 and KS2.

The role is permanent, part-time, term-time only, with interviews starting 12 October 2026. It offers NJC support staff pay scale and access to the Local Government Pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience looking after children aged 2–11 in a school setting.
• Ability to engage children in play-based activities and conversations.

Responsibilities

• Provide wraparound care before/after school during breakfast club.
• Serve a healthy breakfast and observe dietary requirements.
• Supervise free play and model positive behaviour.
• Cover across two locations to ensure adequate staff cover.
