Job summary

Derbyshire Wildlife Trust is hosting a key beaver reintroduction project as part of the Humber Beaver Partnership. You will help secure licences, coordinate across the catchment and work with partners to deliver milestones with a landscape-scale impact.

We value collaboration, flexibility and strong organisational skills. The role is hybrid with field work and may require travel between catchment locations; interviews planned for early October.

Qualifications

• Understanding of species and ecology.
• Ability to work with partners and stakeholders to deliver projects.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Knowledge or experience of wildlife licensing for wild or captive release projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-the-ground delivery of the beaver reintroduction project.
• Develop a strategic approach to securing licences for reintroductions.
• Share best practice with the partnership and other projects.
• Support partners to develop robust licence applications.
• Engage with stakeholders and communities to build understanding and support.
