Job summary

Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust is seeking two Field Surveyors to support the Humber Beaver Partnership and the Natural England Species Recovery Programme-funded project. You will help gather evidence for beaver reintroduction and habitat assessments across the Humber catchment.

You will conduct ecological surveys, work with partner organisations, volunteers and landowners, and use GIS tools to map habitats and beaver presence, contributing to evidence-based conservation planning and species

Qualifications

A Degree in Ecology, or a related science or comparable experience.
Highly efficient administration and organisation skills, including ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.
Experience of planning and delivering practical conservation and countryside management activities.
Ecological survey and assessment experience of a range of faunal groups and flora.
Experience of working with and liaising with community groups and farmers.
Experience of using ecological GIS mapping tools.

Responsibilities

Undertake surveys to establish presence, distribution and extent of wild beaver populations and assess habitats.
Support evidence-based conservation planning and species recovery by collaborating with partners, volunteers and landowners.
