Job summary

Derbyshire Wildlife Trust is recruiting to lead the on-the-ground delivery of a Humber-wide beaver reintroduction project. You will work with partners, secure licences, and develop robust, credible licence applications for beaver releases across the catchment.

You will engage diverse stakeholders, communicate the project vision, and report progress against targets. The role is hybrid with travel across the catchment; interviews on 7 October at the Middleton Office in Derbyshire.

Qualifications

• Understanding of species and ecology with experience in the sector
• Ability to work with partners and stakeholders to deliver projects
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Passion for wildlife and ability to communicate this to a wide audience

Responsibilities

• Lead on-the-ground delivery of the project
• Develop strategic/licensing approach for beaver reintroductions across the catchment
• Share best practice with the partnership and other beaver projects
• Support partners to develop robust licence applications for wild beaver releases
• Develop an action plan and report progress toward targets
• Engage stakeholders and communities to build understanding and support
