Job summary

Derbyshire Wildlife Trust is recruiting for a role hosted within the Humber Beaver Partnership to secure licences for beaver reintroductions and coordinate across the catchment. You will work with project partners and communities to build support and deliver the project vision.

The role is hybrid with significant fieldwork, and interviews are planned for early October at our Middleton Office. Flexible hours and part-time discussion are welcome.

Qualifications

• Understanding of species and ecology and some sector experience.
• Ability to work with partners and stakeholders to deliver projects.
• Excellent attention to detail and deadline-driven.
• Experience communicating wildlife licensing processes for releases.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strategic approach to securing licences for beaver reintroductions.
• Share best practice with the Humber Beaver Partnership and others.
• Support partners to develop robust licence applications for releases.
• Develop an action plan and report progress towards targets.
• Engage with stakeholders and communities to build understanding and support.
