Job summary

Culina is seeking a Head of Business Development Excellence to lead a group-wide approach to business development, including best-in-class processes, market intelligence, and bid management. The role drives growth, governance and capability building across Culina’s central functions and operations.

The position requires significant senior commercial experience, deep understanding of sales processes, and strong leadership to roll out training and standardized methodologies across the UK logistics

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a senior commercial/sales role, ideally in supply chain.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end sales processes and bid management for tenders (RFI/RFQ).
• Strong analytical and research capability.
• Excellent project and programme management skills.
• Familiarity with the UK logistics market.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and standardise BD enablement materials and templates.
• Create and maintain the BD Excellence knowledge base and governance.
• Lead standardised methodologies and best practices across Culina BD teams.
• Design and rollout BD training programmes across sales teams.
• Lead ongoing market trend analysis and customer insights to prioritise growth.
• Drive annual customer segmentation and identify priority opportunities.
• Define pricing and segmentation guidelines to support decision-making.
• Lead the development of the Group's BD strategy and growth targets.
• Oversee bid management leadership for large-scale tender activity.
