Job summary

Cuillin Hills Hotel, a family‑run hotel in Portree on the Isle of Skye, invites applications for a bartender to join our busy front‑of‑house team. You will greet guests, serve at the bar, and help deliver highland hospitality.

Full training provided; experience preferred though not required. You will work in a fast‑paced environment with opportunities to progress, excellent meals on shift, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred, although full training will be provided.
• Passion and a genuine interest in hospitality.
• Natural enthusiasm when working within a team and with customers.
• Guest focused and service oriented.
• Great attention to detail and standards.
• Strong communication with guests and colleagues.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy bar environment.
• Excellent time management and prioritise tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests in a warm and friendly manner.
• Servicing a busy bar and preparing drinks.
• Preparing cocktails for service.
• Running Food and Drinks to tables and areas.
• Handling guest inquiries and complaints.
• Cash handling and POS operation.
• Running your own section when required.
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and health and safety.
