Job summary

Pine Trees Hotel in Pitlochry is seeking a motivated Bartender to join our Scottish Highlands team. You’ll set up and service bar operations, craft storytelling cocktails, and deliver warm, guest-focused service that reflects our Coorie hospitality.

You’ll work with a dedicated team, learn our whisky, wine and spirits offerings, and contribute to memorable guest experiences while maintaining high standards and attention to detail in a lively hotel bar.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Whisky, Wines and Spirits.
• Customer service attitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and deliver high standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up, service and close down the hotel bar area.
• Serve food and drinks to guests with a storytelling cocktail approach.
• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks per Apex drink recipes and Whisky knowledge.
• Record drink orders promptly and accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar counters, sinks, utensils and storage areas.
• Assist in stock ordering, restocking and replenishment of inventory.

Your Role:

As a Bartender, you will contribute to achieving profitability and quality goals. This role is focused on, but not limited to, the hotel bar where you will be responsible for the setup, service and the closedown of the bar department. You will also be responsible for the service of both food and drinks to guests. You will have a passion for drinks, and enjoy creating unique, storytelling cocktails which will add to the great memories we hope our guests leave with.

As Bartender your role will involve:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with Apex drink recipes.
• Share your Whisky knowledge to our interested guests.
• Prepare coffees for our guests and offer excellent table service.
• Record drink orders promptly and accurately after receipt.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
• Receive and serve food orders to guest in the bar.
• Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to your manager.
• Assist in stock ordering, restocking and replenishment of inventory and supplies.
• Be available to multitask as needed, to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by your manager or immediate supervisor.
