Job summary

Quod Restaurant & Bar in Oxford is seeking a capable bartender to deliver a memorable guest experience across a busy service. You will mix cocktails, pour wines and spirits, and provide attentive service in a vibrant city-centre setting.

The role offers a 35-hour working week with a Monday to Sunday rota and an OTE up to £16.96 per hour, including service charge. Part-time hours may also be considered.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy restaurant or bar environment.
• Passion for food, spirits, wine and cocktails.
• Barista skills desirable; training will be provided.

Quod is an independent, bustling, city centre restaurant, bar & terrace with over 250 seats. Located on Oxford’s famous High Street, Quod is open all day, every day serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea & dinner. The menu consists of European classics with an emphasis on British produce. The busy restaurant, with a high level of repeat business, is open every day of the year.

Quod is part of ‘The Oxford Collection’; a small, privately owned group of two luxury 5* hotels and apartments, three restaurants that consists of the Old Bank Hotel, the Old Parsonage Hotel, 36 St Giles, Parsonage Grill, Gees Restaurant & Bar, and Quod Restaurant & Bar. The ideal candidate will:

• Thrive on giving guests a memorable experience

• Ideally have some Barista skills (desirable but not essential as training will be provided)
• Have sound cocktail knowledge and skills
• Have experience within a similar busy restaurant or bar

We offer a sensible shift pattern, across a 35-hour working week (Monday to Sunday rota with two days off) with an OTE up to £16.96 per hour, including non-contractual tronc (service charge).

Part-time hours may also be considered.
