We are seeking a passionate Barista to educate customers on our brand, products, and drinks menu, making personalized recommendations, upselling special items, and taking orders. Success in this role requires excellent customer service skills and knowledge of coffee and coffee machines. Ultimately, you will ensure an excellent drinking experience for our guests. The normal working hours are 42 hours per week, generally between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm from Monday to Friday, and 8:00 am to 7:00 pm on weekends, excluding lunch breaks.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

1. Maintain excellent customer relations and continuously improve customer service in accordance with illy policies.
2. Operate cash registers and prepare or serve food and beverages.
3. Complete daily cleaning schedules and perform other cleaning duties as required.
4. Provide customer-focused service with a proactive work ethic.
5. Undertake any other duties appropriate to the position or grade.
6. Maintain a flexible approach to working hours.
7. Provide customers with drink menus and answer questions about coffee, brand, and ingredients.
8. Take detailed orders, considering preferences such as coffee blend, dairy, and sugar ratios.
9. Prepare beverages following established recipes.
10. Serve beverages and food items for consumption.
11. Process payments via cash or credit card.
12. Keep the bar area clean and organized.
13. Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates.
14. Check equipment operation and report maintenance needs.
15. Comply with health and safety regulations.
16. Share customer feedback with managers and suggest new menu items.

Experience:

• Previous experience as a Barista is ideal; minimum experience as a Waiter/Waitress is acceptable.
• Hands-on experience with coffee machines and brewing equipment is preferred; training will be provided if not.
• Basic knowledge of sanitation practices.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.
• Basic math skills.
