Responsibilities

As a Barback for Café Boulud Restaurant, you will play an essential behind‑the‑scenes role in the flawless operation of the hotel’s bars. Working in close partnership with bartenders, you will ensure all bar areas are impeccably prepared, fully stocked, and maintained to the highest standards, enabling an elevated and effortless guest experience.

• Retrieving beverage and supply orders from storerooms, visually verifying stock against requisitions to ensure complete accuracy
• Preparing bars prior to service, including cutting, slicing, and peeling fresh garnishes; mixing juices; and storing back‑up supplies in designated containers
• Supporting bartenders by stocking and replenishing bar essentials, including glassware, ice, garnishes, mixers, paper products, condiments, straws, and stirrers
• Transporting taps, changing beer kegs, and performing routine maintenance to ensure uninterrupted service
• Maintaining immaculate cleanliness and organisation of all bar areas, beer lockers, refrigerators, and storage spaces
• Ensuring all work areas comply fully with federal, state, local, and company hygiene, safety, and operational standards

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Barback within a luxury hospitality environment is highly desirable

• Physical ability to lift, carry, and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds safely through service areas
