Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch is seeking a Commis Waiter for Coreus by Clare Smyth as part of the pre‑opening team for this highly anticipated luxury hotel opening later this year.

The hotel, located at the end of the Mall opposite Buckingham Palace, will feature 100 elegant rooms and suites and 17,500 sqft of private residences. It will open with two signature restaurants – Coreus by Clare Smyth and Café Boulud by Daniel Boulud – and a world‑class spa, fitness facilities and event spaces.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest enquiries with courtesy, efficiency, and professional discretion
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of menu items, beverages, and service offerings
• Follow established reporting and escalation procedures with accuracy and timeliness
• Uphold Hilton grooming and presentation standards, including uniform, cleanliness, and personal hygiene
• Handle incoming calls professionally, ensuring messages are recorded accurately and relayed promptly
• Complete all opening, closing, and side duties efficiently and to defined standards
• Maintain all service equipment, crockery, and utensils in immaculate, clean, and polished condition
• Ensure cleaning materials and chemicals are correctly requisitioned, stored, and used
• Maintain spotless, sanitised service and back‑of‑house areas throughout and at the conclusion of service
• Replenish service supplies, including tableware, glassware, linen, and condiments, as required
• Comply fully with hotel security procedures, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation

• Previous experience within a luxury or ultra‑luxury hospitality environment (advantageous)
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings, service ware, and fine‑dining presentation
• Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations
• Ability to lift, carry, and transport items up to 50 lbs within a dynamic restaurant setting
