Job summary

Metro Pubs is seeking an Assistant Manager / Bar Manager in Glasgow to help run a busy pub. You will lead from the front, drive wet sales and nurture a high-performing team, while supporting the General Manager in the absence of the GM.

You’ll be involved in all areas of the pub operation, delivering commercial targets and creating memorable customer experiences in a lively hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Assistant Manager/Bar Manager in hospitality.
• Ability to lead a busy team and drive sales.
• Fluent English and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in all aspects of running the business.
• Lead and develop the bar team to maximise sales.
• Take ownership of stock control, ordering, wastage management and profitability.
• Support recruitment, training and performance management.
• Drive operational excellence across front-of-house and bar operations.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety and food safety procedures.
