Job summary

Anchor Group Services Ltd. is recruiting Banksmen for The Elephant, London, to support safe vehicle movement across a flagship mixed-use development.

You will manage loading bays, coordinate with drivers and contractors, and promote safe working practices in a busy operational environment.

Qualifications

• Banksman/Traffic Marshal/Logistics or operational site experience.
• SIA licence desirable but not required.
• Full 5-year checkable employment history.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety principles.
• Confident directing vehicle movements and clear communication.
• Ability to challenge unsafe behaviour professionally.

Responsibilities

• Direct and marshal vehicle movements safely onsite.
• Ensure vehicles enter, manoeuvre and exit sites safely and in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor pedestrian and vehicle activity to reduce risk and prevent unsafe practices.
• Maintain a visible presence across the site and respond to issues promptly.
• Liaise with drivers, contractors and site teams in a professional manner.
• Carry out site checks and report hazards, incidents or breaches of procedure.
• Support the wider security and operational team as required.
• Complete records, logs or incident reports accurately and promptly.
• Ensure duties follow health and safety requirements and company standards.

WorkingHours: 4 on 4 off shift pattern(2 days, 2 nights, 4 off) - Average 42 hours per week

About the Role

As a Banksman, you will support thesafe and efficient movement of vehicles throughout the development, workingclosely with drivers, contractors, retailers and site teams. You will helpmanage access to loading bays and service areas, promote safe workingpractices, and ensure operational areas remain safe and well organised at alltimes.

You will be a visible ambassador forboth Anchor Group Services and The Elephant, demonstrating professionalism,vigilance and excellent customer service in a busy operational environment.

Duties Include

• Direct and marshal vehicle movements safely onsite
• Ensure vehicles enter, manoeuvre and exit sitesafely and in accordance with site procedures
• Monitor pedestrian and vehicle activity to reducerisk and prevent unsafe practices
• Maintain a visible presence across the site and respond promptly to any issues or concerns
• Liaise with drivers, contractors, visitors and the wider site team in a professional and courteous manner
• Carry out site checks and report any hazards, incidents or breaches of procedure
• Support the wider security and operational team as required
• Complete any relevant records, logs or incident reports accurately and in a timely manner
• Ensure all duties are carried out in line with health and safety requirements, assignment instructions and company standards

Requirements

• Previous Banksman, Traffic Marshal, Logistics oroperational site experience.
• A valid SIA licence is desirable but not required
• Full 5-year checkable employment history.
• Excellent understanding of health and safetyprinciples.
• Confident directing vehicle movements andcommunicating clear instructions.
• Ability to challenge unsafe behaviourprofessionally and appropriately.
• Customer service experience and confidencehandling conflict professionally.
• Ability to remain calm and professional underpressure.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible approach to shift work including weekendsand bank holidays.
• Professionalappearance and high personal standards.
