Job summary

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Customer Relationship Representative (Universal Banker) - Reserve to join our team in Dundee. This full-time role focuses on delivering high-quality customer service, processing bank transactions, and matching customers with appropriate products and services to meet financial needs.

You will balance cash and daily transactions, ensure compliance, and contribute to a high-performing sales environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience selling products or services.
• Minimum of 1 year of sales, banking and/or related experience.
• Extensive travel required; must travel daily to banking centers within region.
• S.A.F.E. Act Registration required within 3 months of hire date.
• Ability to obtain Notary Public designation.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• In-depth knowledge of bank products and services.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests for banking transactions.
• Answer customer inquiries and problems with solutions.
• Continually build customer loyalty and advocates.
• Balance cash, daily transactions, vault and ATM.
• Understand and ensure compliance, regulations and reporting.
• Follow security policies and verification procedures to protect privacy.
• Assist with opening and/or closing banking center.
• Sell bank products and make referrals to support goals.
• Lead by example through training and coaching staff in sales and operations.
• Attend required trainings and participate in sales/service activities.
