Job summary

W Talent Finance is partnering with a growing mid-tier accountancy and professional services firm to recruit an Audit Manager focused on Banking & Lending. You will manage statutory audits, lead engagements for lenders, and develop IFRS 9 and ECL modelling expertise while building strong client relationships.

The role offers hybrid working in the UK, with opportunities for technical development, career progression and involvement in business development within a specialist financial services

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CA or equivalent.
• Experience as Audit Manager in accountancy practice or professional services.
• Strong IFRS 9 knowledge and ECL auditing experience.
• Experience with lending products (mortgages, personal loans, credit cards).
• Experience with banking, financial services or specialist lending clients.
• Ability to manage multiple complex audit engagements and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of statutory audit engagements across banking & lending sector.
• Lead audit engagements for regulated and unregulated lenders.
• Apply specialist knowledge of IFRS 9 and ECL auditing.
• Review ECL methodologies, assumptions and model outputs.
• Coach, mentor and develop junior team members.
• Support business development initiatives within the audit practice.
